Maker Master Class:

Lunch & Lasers!

This Lunch & Lasers --or Pizza & Lasers!-- workshop is a hands-on mid-day activity in which you'll design a key-chain with your initials or name... then see it cut on our 4,000 watt industrial laser cutter!

Your Master Makers --Shared Manufacturing engineer Brian Brown, and STEM Education coordinator Deacon Stone-- will bring within reach RCBI Huntington's Shared Manufacturing equipment, by expanding an existing CNC workshop offering: the NASA West Virginia Space Grant Consortium sponsored Maker Fundamentals Workshops!

*Seating is limited, don't delay...

3D Printing & Maker Camps

Summer, 2019!

The Robert C. Byrd Institute will offer Maker Camps in June and July. Campers from middle school to high school age will have firsthand experience in 3D design, 3D printing, assembly, coding, soldering, basic electronics, electromagnetism and hydraulics. Campers will explore careers in manufacturing and technology as they tour a local business, startup or production facility.

Engaging activities introduce an entrepreneurial mindset and, open eyes to new approaches and possibilities; building experience and confidence. A Maker Fest at the end of the week will give campers an opportunity to share their creations, and all they’ve learned, with you!

Don’t hesitate. Seating is limited, and we hope to see you and your campers right here at RCBI!
