We are proud to present a month-long lead-up to the Agriculture Innovation Showcase with features and resources to accelerate education in West Virginia Agriculture and to prepare you for the Student Ag Innovation Challenge.

Agcellerator Master Classes!

Join us in this vibrant series of expert-led workshops to help you prepare entries for this year's video-submission based Ag Innovation Challenge!

The Agcellerator Master Class series is designed to provide guidance and resources to educators and classrooms in advance of the 2021 Agriculture Innovation Showcase challenge.

January 7th: 10 am

The Importance of Innovation in West Virginia Agriculture

Get an introduction to this year's competition and learn how to find your unique innovation and to scale national outcomes from your own backyard. Hear about Ag Innovation in the Potomac Highlands of WV and beyond.

Presenters will include WV Agriculture Commissioner Kent Leonhardt, Bill Woodrum of the Robert C. Byrd Institute, Dr. Megan Webb of Eastern WV Community & Technical College, Joe Kapp of the National Center for Resource Development.

Innovating for Success

In this, the second of three Master Classes, learn how to prepare your innovation for competition and receive an introduction to this year's judging criteria. Find out about resources for developing a winning entry for the Agriculture Innovation Showcase competition on February 24th.

In conjunction with Nathan Taylor of the West Virginia Department of Education, presented by Dr. Megan Webb of Eastern Community & Technical College, Bill Woodrum, Evan Nelson, and Deacon Stone of RCBI.

Bringing It All Together

Receive guidance for preparing successful video submissions for this year's student competition. Learn tips and tricks for producing great audio and video as well as best practices for concise communications.

Ag Innovation Showcase

Join us for this vibrant showcase of Innovation in Agriculture from across the state, and meet the top competitors in the Student Ag Innovation Challenge.

The event will culminate with the announcement of the 2021 Student Ag Innovation winners and presentation of the awards.

Student Ag Innovation Challenge

This year's Student Ag Innovation Challenge will feature a video-submission based competition that provides challengers the opportunity to demonstrate new ideas, innovations, and inventions while competing cash prizes and recognitions!

      • *Video Submission registration begins Jan. 7 at noon
      • *Video Submission deadline Feb. 15 at 4 pm
