Maker Master Class 2018 at RCBI
The Robert C. Byrd Institute (RCBI) and Marshall University presents Maker Master Class 2018.
Scheduled Oct. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at RCBI Huntington (1050 Fourth Avenue), hands-on workshop sessions will be on offer in subjects ranging from 3D Printing, Laser-Cutting, Robotics, Mechatronics, CNC Routing & Machining, Optical Scanning, and more. Industry leaders from Autodesk (3D Design), Bluegrass Educational Technologies (Mechatronics/Robotics), MarkForged Carbon Fiber/Kevlar printers, and more will be on hand, as well as the engineers of RCBI’s Shared Manufacturing Program (laser-cutting), and director of RCBI’s Maker Vault (Maker Workflow; CNC, 3D Printing, 3D Design).
The registration fee is $25 for each individual and includes any hands-on activity materials. A break for lunch will be from 11:45-12:30, with local dining and food-trucks recommended. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult, and their attendance is free.
